Lubbock, Texas – Lubbock, Texas – The sixth-seeded Red Raiders are scheduled to face the eleventh-seeded NC State this Thursday, March 21st, at 8:40 p.m. in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

The Red Raiders (23-10, 11-7 Big 12) were on a four game win streak with notable wins versus Baylor to end off the regular season and BYU in the first round of the Big 12 tournament.

The Red Raiders took on the Big 12 No.1 seed Houston (30-4, 15-3 Big 12) and got routed. The Red Raiders kept it a close game going into half down 32-29.

The second half however was a nightmare with Houston scoring 50 points compared to the Red Raiders 30. Forward Warren Washington was out yet again nursing an ankle injury dating weeks back.

As for NC State, the Wolfpack is on a tear and coming to ruin some brackets this year in march madness.

NC State (22-14, 9-11 ACC) are riding a 5 game win streak with wins over the likes of Syracuse, Duke, Virginia and stunning UNC in the ACC championship game.

The Red Raiders will hope to have forward Warren Washington back in the lineup with Washington missing the last six games due to injury.

The key to victory for the Red Raiders will be leading scorer Pop Issacs and emerging star Darrion Williams.

NC State will rely on their leading scorer, guard DJ Horne, who averages 16.9 points per game, to deliver a standout performance in their bid to defeat the Red Raiders.

As we await March Madness, make sure not to miss out on the first-round matchup between your Red Raiders and the NC State Wolfpack this Thursday.
