Lubbock, Texas – Texas Tech basketball just got better with the incoming guard transfer Kevin Overton.

The 6 ‘5 guard opted to join the Red Raiders over other contending Big 12 team schools such as Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and West Virginia.

Overton was the MVC All-freshman and currently ranked the No.86 player according to Rivals.com college basketball transfer tracker.

Overton in his one season at Drake, averaged 11.3 ppg, 3.3 rebounds per game and 1.1 assist per game.

This is a huge win for the Red Raiders, as guard Darion Williams announced his decision to remain with the team for the upcoming season.

The Red Raiders who finished 23-11 and fourth in the Big 12, will be looking for a bounce back year as they got eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
