Silent Wings Museum to Host Greatest Generation Poetry Awards Ceremony

The Silent Wings Museum is hosting the Greatest Generation Poetry Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:30pm.

Following an extensive review of submissions from across the United States, our distinguished panel of judges has reached a decision. Congratulations to the finalists below:

The Middle School awards finalists are Jemma Bossio, Violet Delano, Karryn Hamre, Callie Millsap, Gracie Phillips, and Gabriella Salas.

The finalists for High School are Jack Fisher and Caleb Gilbert.

The finalists in the Adult category are Kelly Harbour, Cierra Ives, Carl Malcom, Katharine Manning, and Asia Rushing.

Thank you to all who participated in the competition!

Finalist’s poems will be posted alongside In Their Own Words, the exhibit featuring poetry written about and by the American WWII Glider Pilots. This exhibit is in honor of National Poetry Month and will run through the end of April.

Light refreshments will be available for all guests. Museum fees apply.
