The Matador Club–the official, nationally-renowned NIL collective of Texas Tech Athletics–is following through on its promise to empower Texas Tech student-athletes and promote civic involvement by offering the entire Texas Tech women’s basketball and softball teams five-figure NIL deals for the second year in a row.

The Matador Club is continuing to shift the conversation from product-based endorsement deals to community service-driven partnerships. Since July 2022, The Matador Club has signed over 300 student-athletes across the Texas Tech football, softball, baseball, golf, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and track & field teams. The crowdfunded collective requires players to use their name, image, and likeness–as well as online presence and physical time–to support Lubbock-based nonprofit organizations.

“Signing the women’s basketball and softball teams to team-wide NIL deals is a testament to our commitment to equality and recognition of the outstanding talent within these sports. Empowering these athletes fosters a culture where every player has the opportunity to shine both on and off the field.” said one Matador Club board member. “Our donors’ passion and generous support fuel the Red Raiders’ fighting spirit, ensuring our teams have the necessary resources to compete at the highest level. Together, we are keeping Texas Tech at the forefront of the NIL landscape by doing things the right way.”

The Matador Club TTU Women’s Basketball & Softball Signing Deal:
● Walk-ons to Starters – Five-figure NIL deals offered to entire softball and women’s basketball teams.
● Local Nonprofits Benefit – Student-athletes promote local charities through social media, in-person appearances, community service, and other avenues. It’s a win-win: athletes acquire NIL deals, and local charities and nonprofits benefit from volunteer work and expanded awareness of their cause.
● Raising the Bar – The Matador Club is one of the only NIL collectives in the country to offer NIL Deals to the entire women’s basketball and softball teams. This marks the second year in a row both teams have received NIL deals.
