City Offices Closed for Good Friday Holiday

City of Lubbock Offices will be closed Friday, March 29, in observance of Good Friday. Normal operations will resume Monday, April 1.

Residential Trash Collection
Residential Collection will be as normal on Monday and Tuesday. Thursday routes will be collected on Wednesday, March 27; and Friday routes will be collected on Thursday, March 28.

Recycling/Landfill Operations
Citizen Convenience Centers will be open Friday, but closed on Saturday. Both landfills will be closed on Friday, March 29.

Libraries
All Lubbock Public Library locations will be closed Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31.
Regular hours will resume on Monday, April 1.

Cultural Facilities

• The Buddy Holly Center, Silent Wings Museum and the Garden & Arts Center will be closed Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31.
• The Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum will be open Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and will resume normal hours and operations Monday, April 1.
• The Garden & Arts Center will have normal operating hours on Saturday, March 29, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. 

Community Centers
The adult meal program will not be offered on Friday, March 29, but will resume normally on Monday, April 1.

Parks and Recreation

• Maxey, Hodges, Maggie Trejo, Copper Rawlings and Mae Simmons Community and Senior Centers will be closed Friday, March 29, but will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 1.
• Safety City will be closed Friday, March 29, and Sunday, March 31.
• Burgess-Rushing Tennis Center will be open Friday, March 29, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.; and closed Sunday, March 31.
