Waterline Replacement at Cesar E. Chavez Drive Road Closure
Beginning Monday, October 12, 2026, Rink’s Lease Service, Inc., will be replacing waterline piping on Cesar E. Chavez Drive between N. Avenue Q and N. Sherman Avenue. This project will replace aging water infrastructure to improve function and reduce future maintenance.
This closure will affect traffic in both directions, with no traffic being allowed throughout construction. Traffic will detour to Baylor Street. Citizens are encouraged to drive with caution and to avoid the area if possible.
