In May of 2002, Yellaboy became an inspired rapper, but never did he think he would sit behind the ones and twos spinning records. But in May 2008, he became more aware of his talent and took the next step to following his dreams. Yellaboy has sold hundreds of albums in and around his hometown of Lubbock and has even created a household name for himself. When 104.9 The Beat hired Terrance and Rocsi of 106th and Park to host a talent search for a new night jock, people from all around the area came out to audition. But, Yella didn't care to much to do so. Instead, he said it was his cousin who pushed him to try it. Little did he know, the outcome was more positive than he could have imagined. Yella has released several singles you can hear on 104.9 and hosts his own night show Monday- Friday from 3 to 9pm. You can also see Yellaboy around the town at local schools offering advice to students as a motivational speaker.
