I'm from the mean streets of Lewisville in Dallas. hahaha No honestly, I jumped into radio because music was the only thing that moved me. I had thought about doing radio about 3 to 4 years prior to me going into it. So one day I tried it just to see where it would take me. I went to American Broadcasting School in Arlington, Texas and went through their program to obtain my Broadcasters Certificate. In 2005 I came to Lubbock to begin my radio career. But the only reason I chose Lubbock was because I knew I had more of an opportunity here than in Dallas. So after interning for about a year, I finally got my own show! I started out working Sundays from noon to six. IT SUCKKED! I knew I would have to go through all this to get where I eventually wanted to be some day. So I became a cohost of the night show and that lasted for about uhhhh 8 months. Then, I took over the night show! And that's when my passion for radio started. Once I got my own show it was all over! For me being on air just feels so natural to me. I did nights for about a year and had the #1 night show! Then Management approached me with the idea of doing a Morning Show!!! The Morning Team consisted of Kristy Kelly and myself. We have taken a Morning show that once was 5th in ratings to what is now NUMBER ONE! In June of '08, they asked me to become Program Director. And from there I have taken the ratings from a number 6 station to a NUMBER 1 station, in less than a year!! I truly believe that hard work, dedication, late night partying and gettin my drank on is the reason for my success! (Totally joking about drinking as part of my success) All jokes aside if you have a goal you want to achieve, don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Believe in yourself even when no one else does.
